Staying in Control of Your Finances

If you’re lucky, then you learned financial management skills from your parents. If your parents, however, had bad financial habits or if they never talked to you about how to deal with money, you may find yourself in a bit of a money-crisis once you’re dealing with money on your own. It might not feel like a crisis at first but, if you’re not careful, your expenses can creep up on you little by little until you’re completely in debt and don’t have a way out.

You need to set a reasonable limit for each credit card you own and not go over that limit. You should also come up with a manageable payment plan that includes paying more than the minimum payment due. If you can’t afford this minimum payment, then the card limit you’ve set for yourself is too high!
In addition to practicing good asset management, remember the importance of putting money aside for life’s little emergencies. If you’d like some help with Naperville asset management or with becoming more financially stable, contact your friendly Naperville financial advisors at Platinum Financial Associates, Inc.
