The Top Financial Magazines You Should be Reading

Are you hoping to better manage your money and to really take your finances to the next level? If so, then you’ll be glad to know that a wealth of important and useful information can easily be available at your fingertips, just by subscribing to top financial magazines.

Of course, there are a ton of financial magazines out there, and you can’t possibly subscribe to each and every one, nor would you have time to read them all. To help you out, though, here’s a list of some of the top financial magazines currently available, magazines that are definitely worth reading and learning from!

Magazine #1: Kiplinger
To start off with, Kiplinger is one of the best magazines out there if what you’re looking for is practical, straightforward financial advice for everyone from beginners to financial whizzes. This magazine will give you information on things like the best mutual funds currently available or how to choose investments if you’re a beginner.

Best of all, this magazine actually has various sub-magazines on different topics, so you can easily choose the topic or topics that are best suited to you and your needs and use only the ones that apply to you.

If you consider yourself a “serious investor,” or if you’re aiming to be one, then this magazine may just be for you. This publication offers extremely useful market and stock analysis, so it’s a great buy if you need some help picking smart investments.

Magazine #3: The Economist
Another magazine that you may want to think about is The Economist. You can learn about what’s going on in the world of finance and how it might affect you. You’ll learn not just about United States financial matters but about financial happenings around the world as well.

Of course, while all of these magazines can be great and very useful, bear in mind that they are certainly no substitute for good, professional financial advice. So, in other words, don’t rely on these magazines to do EVERYTHING for you, but remember that you can still use them as a helpful tool.

Make Your Money go that Extra Mile

If you’re like most people, then you probably wish that the money you bring home would last longer and go further. And, while that might seem like an impossible dream, the fact of the matter is that many of the money problems that people have are due to carelessness or other “money mistakes” on their part. By being a better, more responsible steward of your money, you can actually stretch every dollar and make your money do more for you!

Take Care of the Necessities First
To start off with, the very first thing you should do each pay period is to take care of all of the most important, absolutely necessary financial responsibilities that you have. This includes things like your mortgage, all of your bills, putting money in savings, and other such things.

This isn’t to stay that you shouldn’t spend any money doing fun things, but you really shouldn’t do so until you know that all of the requirements and necessities are taken care of.

Getting in this habit of paying all the important stuff first will lead to a less stressful life and better overall management of your money.

Do It Yourself
Another thing that can really be helpful for stretching your dollar further is looking at places where you spend the most money and then figuring out a way to cut those costs in half by “doing it yourself.”

If, for example, you love going out to fancy restaurants, learning to cook could enable you to enjoy the same great food at a fraction of the cost.  Or, if you’re someone who is always buying clothes, learning to sew could make all the difference for you!

Find things you can learn to do that will be fun and save you some money in the process as well.

Cancel Subscriptions You Don’t Use
One final thing you can do to save money and stretch your earnings further is to get rid of any and all subscriptions you don’t use.

These days, it’s not at all uncommon for people to sign up for monthly streaming services or gym memberships and then never use them. If you are paying for something monthly that you are not getting any use out of, just bite the bullet and cancel your subscription.

Remember, you can always sign up again later if you want to, but there’s definitely no sense in paying for things you aren’t using.

As you can see, there are many things that you can do to better manage your money. Follow these helpful tips and use good common sense and judgment, and you (and your money!) should be just fine.
